Well, now you know all the basics - camera angles, editing techniques, live production procedures, and the challenges of teamwork. So, what's next?

Today, we begin our new objectives: to form small crews focused on creating media that meets the criteria for the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association (MIPA). The deadline for this year's contest submissions is Friday, February 16th.

Each crew must choose one type of production to focus on for the next few weeks, creating at least three unique productions that show the team's collective growth in technical and conceptual understanding. Review

MIPA media production categories begin on the page marked 10 in the following document - pg. 15 overall:

MIPA's best practices can be found here - read them, familiarize yourself with them, and discuss them in a small group.

In your crew, each student must state a specific set of objectives to develop during the next few weeks.

Student groups must be formed and categories chosen by the end of Monday, January 22nd. I will work with individuals to clarify personal objectives on Tuesday.
